Born from attending one too many beer festivals, I created the unique 33 Bottles of Beer pocket beer-tasting journal in 2009 after my first trip to GABF. This began a micro-publishing empire that now includes 10 flavors of tasting books. Flexible Format "33" books are a great retail item, but they also work exceptionally well as a staff-training tool and have been used by many bars and brewpubs as the base of a customer-loyalty program. Sustainably-Sourced "33" books are printed with soy ink on recycled paper in Portland, Oregon, about a mile from this convention center. A tiny bit of real beer is added to the ink in each book, to give each new edition a bit of local flavor.
