Dr. Tom Shellhammer is the Nor’Wester Professor of Fermentation Science in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Oregon State University, where he leads the brewing science education and research programs. He is a globally recognized expert on hops and beer chemistry, flavor, and quality. He is a past president of the ASBC, president of the District NW MBAA, serves on the board of examiners for the IBD, and is a member of the Brewers Association’s Quality Subcommittee.
