Brian Steffenson is a Professor of Plant Pathology and the Lieberman-Okinow Endowed Chair at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul. Throughout his career, Brian’s main research focus was on the management of barley diseases and exploiting wild relatives for cultivated crop improvement. His most recent research project involves breeding malting barley cultivars for winter hardiness in the northern tier states.
