Professor
Kevin Smith is a Professor in the Department of Agronomy and Plant Genetics at the University of Minnesota and conducts research in barley breeding and genetics. He obtained his B.S. degree in botany and M.S. and PhD degrees in plant breeding and genetics at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Current research is focused on developing improved breeding methods and applying them to the development of new malting barley varieties.
