Deniz Bilge served an apprenticeship as a brewer and maltster at the Beck & Co. Brewery and went on to earn his doctorate in brewing technology. He has worked in the supply side of the industry as well as serving as technical director in a brewery. He returned to the VLB in 2010. As deputy department chief of the Research Institute for Beer and Beverage Production, he is responsible for technological aspects and research projects. Deniz lectures in VLB courses at the university.
