Eric Ottaway began his career in the beer business in 1996, running the Massachusetts distribution arm for the Brooklyn Brewery with his brother Robin. He spent the next four years loading and unloading trucks, picking orders, making deliveries, collecting AR, sorting empties, and every other glamorous job in distribution—all of which were great training for the beer industry. In 2000 he moved with his family to NYC to run a distributor until it was sold in 2003. Since then, he has managed the Brooklyn Brewery as COO and then CEO, focusing on developing Brooklyn’s export business and partnerships.
