Brian Peters started homebrewing in 1989 at the beginning of the American brewing renaissance. His engineering career brought him to Austin where he met Chip McElroy, a homebrewer with a similar passion. The duo founded Live Oak Brewing Company in 1996. In 2001, Brian began brewing at The Bitter End, and became the brewer at Uncle Billy’s Brew & Que in 2007. Along the way, he met up with Amos Lowe, and the dream of The ABGB became a reality in 2013.
